Join us for a networking conversation focused on selecting and maintaining safe, non-toxic plants for indoor horticultural therapy programming- no matter how you practice the work of HT/ TH!
This interactive Zoom networking event will create space to share ideas, challenges, and solutions related to sourcing, growing, and maintaining healthy, non-toxic plant stock for indoor therapeutic use. Participants will explore plant safety considerations across diverse work settings, including healthcare, community programs, workshops, private practice, and volunteer-based programming. Through polls, chat, and breakout discussions, we’ll problem-solve common barriers such as budget constraints, plant durability, allergies, and site-specific limitations. Attendees are encouraged to bring their experiences and/ or questions about what has worked (or hasn’t) in their unique contexts. Together, we’ll build a shared resource of strategies and plant recommendations. This session is designed to foster peer learning, connection, and confidence in creating safe, therapeutic indoor plant environments.
