Horticultural Therapist at Saanich Peninsula Hospital

Pay rate: $40-$50 / hr

Hours: 8 hours/week (2x 3 hour groups + 1 hour prep) May-October

Summary:

The provision of two weekly 3-hour (9:30-12:30) sessions of therapeutic gardening in a group format with residents as selected by the Therapy team. Each session includes 1 hour in prep/cleanup time per week for a total of 8 hours per week.

• The sessions do not include travel but include some on site prep time, to be invoiced to Saanich Peninsula Hospital and Healthcare Foundation.
  
• The sessions will be overseen by Therapy staff (Recreation Therapy). The contractor will report and liaise with onsite activation staff regarding issues, absences or injuries.
  
• The program will be funded by the SPH Foundation and will be re-evaluated on a yearly basis for success/meeting outcomes.
  
• The contractor will send invoices to Allison Patterson at [email protected] on a monthly basis.
